Born in 1955 in Eskişehir, Rafi Işık has been continuing the art of meerschaum stonework which he learned through the mentor system.

As the artist lives in Margı village which is among the regions where meerschaum is obtained, he found the opportunity to master the profoundness of the art. Rafi Işık owns a certificate of mastership in Meerschaum Stonework.
