Fusion Glass Plate with Cintemani pattern is designed and hand made by Designed by Be.St using glass fusion technique. This unique design made from hand cut, imported, coloured glass elements, mounted on top of each other and baked in a special kiln for 14 hours at 800 C. This original work can be qualified as the continuation of an adventure started in 4000 B.C. in Mesopotamia and Egypt, the cradle of the glassmaking art.
The Cintemani pattern is a far east origin design found in Ottoman Culture after the conquest of Tabriz in 1514 by Selim the 1st. This design that consists of three spheres, one on the top and other two on bottom, resembles a triangle sometimes consists of three spheres nested within the other. This design found in the coins of Timur is considered to be the symbol for power, strength and sovereignty.
