Fatima's Hand (Hamsa) shaped Ceramic Turkish Delight Bowl with Cintemani is designed and hand made by Designed by Be.St. being faithful with the tradition of the Turkish Ceramic Art at its golden era during the 15th and 16th centuries in İznik and Kutahya. The delight bowl's pattern has been hand-drawn and colored.
The decoration adorning the bowl consists of a long continuous stem issuing from a central point around which rings are created in a helicoidal structure that is a materialisation named the Golden Horn (Tuğrakeş) design. The stems are punctuated by small flower and leaf themes placed at specific intervals. The design is also used as a decorative element in the Royal Seals (Tuğra-i Humayun) and symbolizes immortality and infinity. The Cintemani pattern used on the Turkish delight bowl is a far east origin design found in Ottoman Culture after the conquest of Tabriz in 1514 by Selim the 1st. This design that consists of three spheres, one on the top and other two on bottom, resembles a triangle sometimes consists of three spheres nested within the other. This design found in the coins of Timur is considered to be the symbol for power, strength and sovereignty.
