Santimetre is the brand name for handmade objects designed and produced by Tulya Madra (designer, ceramic artist) and Fırat Aykaç (architect, designer) at their workshop located in Ayvalık on the Aegean coast of Turkey.

Currently using porcelain as their medium and with a particular interest in the study of one’s own culture and memory, they embarked on an adventure to create a table + kitchenware collection from pieces which have previously been reproduced within the mass-production processes and then forgotten, omitted, distorted or just blurred, as an attempt to make such images reappear in our current times, acting as healing tools both for ourselves and the people who share it.

Tulya Madra - Santimetre products are mainly functional handmade porcelain, tabletop, household, personal objects & handmade fabric, leather, newspaper bags and small textile items.

Tulya Madra - Santimetre porcelain products come out of the final 1230 degrees kiln every 10 days, that is 3 times a month. All products are produced in limited quantities and random batches. Main outlet for the products is our flagship store located in Ayvalık.
